God Can Restore What Seems Lost

SUMMARY :
We’ve all suffered loss in our lives: relationships, respect, joy, passion. Sometimes we don’t mean to lose things; it just happens. Still, it can be hard to know how to find the things we’ve lost.
In the story of Elisha and the ax, we learn that God cares about what we care about—even the small stuff. Because He loves us, He will work with us to restore our lost things.

Maybe you used to feel God’s presence everywhere. Prayer felt natural. His Word came alive. Now it feels like you’re just going through the motions. Spiritual drift happens, but it doesn’t mean your passion is gone forever or that God has given up on you. This week, we’re talking about how to get that fire back.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
“.… When they arrived at the Jordan, [the prophets] began cutting down trees. But as one of them was cutting a tree, his ax head fell into the river. “Oh, sir!” he cried. “It was a borrowed ax!” “Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface. “Grab it,” Elisha said. And the man reached out and grabbed it. 2 Kings 6:4-7 NLT

HIGHLIGHTS :
•Sometimes the smallest miracle carries the biggest message.
•If it matters to you, it matters to God.
•What have you lost that God wants to restore?
•Be honest about where you lost it.
•Take back what you lost.

Elisha – Week 3

When Life Demands Too Much

SUMMARY :
When life feels like too much, we can be encouraged that “not enough” is often where God starts. In the story of the widow and Elisha, we learn that God can use what we have to give us what we need. And sometimes, the miracle we’re looking for starts with choosing to ask for help.
This week we’re talking about how God specializes in doing incredible things with what feels like way too little.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
“… “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.””
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭4:2 NIV‬‬

HIGHLIGHTS :
•Fear doesn’t just exaggerate; fear lies.
•Offer God what you have and trust Him to give you what you need.
•Sometimes your miracle starts with admitting your need.
•What in your life do you need to empty so God has room to fill it?
