The Father You’ve Always Wanted

SUMMARY :
The prophet Isaiah told the people of Israel that when the Messiah came, He would be called Everlasting Father. Our Heavenly Father stays, forgives, and runs toward us. Regardless of our relationship with our earthly father, we can find hope and comfort with our Everlasting Father.
If someone asked you to describe your father, what would you feel? Gratitude? Pain? Nothing at all? This week, we’re talking about one of the most powerful names for Jesus-and it will help you see Him in a whole new way.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

HIGHLIGHTS :
1. God is the Father who stays.

2. God is the Father who forgives.

3. God is the Father who runs toward you.

Your earthly father was never designed to carry what only your heavenly Father can.

Watch God Work

SUMMARY :
The prophet Isaiah told the people of Israel that when Jesus came, He would be called Mighty God. Through the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth, we see that God is mighty in the waiting.

This weekend, we’re talking about what happens when your circumstances contradict what God says about you—when you feel forgotten but He says you’re favored, when the promise seems impossible but He says it’s coming. Maybe you’ve lost that childlike wonder to believe God can still do the impossible. This message is for you.

•You are what God says about you.
•God will be mighty often in the ordinary.
•Childlikeness is the faith-filled wonder to believe that a mighty God can still do the impossible.
•Have you put the promise of God on the shelf because it hasn’t come to pass on your timetable?
•God can do something new through you.
•God is mighty in the waiting.

3 Mindsets That Move Us

SUMMARY :
Have you ever wanted to be more generous but weren’t sure where to start? Maybe you see needs around you but don’t know how to help. Or you give when you can, but wonder if there’s more to generosity than just the moment. What if generosity could be something that shapes your life every day?

Giving is an action, but generosity is a mindset. This week, reflect on the three types of generosity mindsets-spontaneous, strategic, and sacrificial-and ask God how you can live radically generous today.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
“But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭32‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
‬‬

HIGHLIGHTS :
•Giving is an action, but generosity is a mindset.
•In 2023, the average American gave just 1.9% of their total income to charity.

3 Generosity Mindsets
• Spontaneous
• Strategic
• Sacrificial

1. We give spontaneously when compassion moves us.
•If you only give when you feel something, you won’t give when you don’t.
2. We give strategically when our convictions guide us.
3. We give sacrificially when love costs us.
