Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!

In reflection on what today means and represents, beyond the parades, BBQ’s, and fireworks there should be in the words of John Adams “solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty”.

John Adams on how we should remember Independence Day. “I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more. You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. — I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. — Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction.”

Be resolute this Independence Day.

May the Lord bless you with courage, conviction, and humility as you celebrate freedom — not just as a right to enjoy, but as a responsibility to steward. Stand firm in faith, lead with integrity, and use your freedom to serve others in love. Free from tyranny, and fully surrendered to the King of kings.

Happy 4th of July!

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”
Galatians 5:13 ESV

The Battle Field Of The Mind

Take Every Thought Captive: Training Ground for the Resolute Man

Rooted in 2 Corinthians 10:5. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

As Resolute Men, the battlefield often begins between our ears. Before compromise becomes action, it starts as a thought—unchecked, unchallenged, and undisciplined.

A Resolute Man doesn’t drift mentally—he wages war against lies and half-truths. He understands that spiritual strength begins with mental discipline, and that surrender to Christ starts with surrendering his thoughts.

Paul’s call to “take every thought captive” isn’t passive. It’s war language. We’re not bystanders in our minds—we’re soldiers, called to demolish anything that exalts itself against the truth of God. Every thought, every lie, every wandering idea must be intercepted and brought under the authority of Christ.

This means developing a filter:
• Is this thought true?
• Does it align with God’s Word?
• Would I follow this thought to a place of obedience—or regret?

Men, it’s time to lead our minds like we lead our homes—with intention, clarity, and strength. You don’t drift into righteousness. You decide. You resist. You renew.

Be ruthless with lies. Be relentless in truth. Be resolute in obedience.

Your mind is not a playground—it’s a proving ground. Take every thought captive.

RESOLUTE RESOLVE : I resolve to take every thought captive—to challenge lies, silence fear, and align my mind with the truth of God’s Word. My thoughts will obey Christ, and my life will follow.

Be watchful. Stand firm. Act like men. Be strong.
