Guarding Your Family From The Digital Danger

SUMMARY :
Throughout history, our spiritual enemy has found ways to attack us and our families. With God’s help and through honest conversation, we can fight back by setting barriers in place to protect ourselves and the ones we love most from the dangerous side of technology.
Screens aren’t going anywhere, but you can change how they affect your family. This week, get practical help for guarding your kids from digital dangers and reclaiming what matters most.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of [our enemies]. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
Nehemiah 4:14 NIV

HIGHLIGHTS :
*STATS:
• Teens who spend four or more hours on screens daily are twice as likely to experience anxiety and depression.
• On average, children are exposed to porn by age 12.
• At age 13, 53% of girls report being unhappy with their bodies. By age 17, it jumps to 78%.

1. Assess the gates.
• What devices are in your home?
• What apps are on your child’s devices?
• What passwords do you have access to?
*You can’t protect what you haven’t identified.

2. Strengthen the gates.
• Delay the device.
• Use parental controls and filter adult content.
• Have ongoing conversations, not one-time lectures.
• Set time limits and boundaries for when and where devices are allowed.
• Model healthy tech habits yourself.

When Social Media Steals Your Joy

SUMMARY :
In a time of incredible technological advancements, the importance of human connection can sometimes be forgotten. As the church, we are called to love and serve one another, which requires deep, human interaction.

We live in the most connected age in history, yet loneliness is at an all-time high. Technology can draw us closer to one another-or leave us isolated. The answer isn’t ditching our devices; it’s learning how to live The Connected Life and build the meaningful relationships we’re searching for.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Acts 2:44-47 NIV

HIGHLIGHTS :
•Your feed is full, but your soul feels empty.
•We didn’t just hand them the problem;
we modeled it for them.

*Goals for The Connected Life

1.Confront the habits that drain your peace and quietly destroy the relationships that matter most.
2. Find practical tools to guard your families from the pull of digital distraction and destruction.
3.Come out of shallow, screen-based connection and back into deep, life-giving, Christ-centered community.

The Early Church …
• Studied the Bible together.
• Shared meals together.
• Prayed together.
• Fellowshiped together.
• Worshiped God together.
• Served others together.
• Celebrated together.

You’re reaching for something that fills the moment but can’t fill your soul.

To Do This Week
• Don’t just text someone; call them.
• Don’t just pray for someone; pray with them.
•Don’t just say that you care; show up and be present.

Signs You Can’t Ignore | End Times

SUMMARY :
The Bible doesn’t tell us exactly when Jesus comes back, but it does tell us how to live in preparation.
In 1 Thessalonians, Paul urges us to move from sinfulness to sanctification, from confusion to clarity, and from passivity to readiness as we live in the last days.

Tired of worst-case scenarios taking over your thoughts? This week, we’re talking about how to break free from constant fear and find peace with God’s help—no matter what we’re facing.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
… You won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a
thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t
belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded.

4 Ways To Live For Jesus In The End Times

SUMMARY :
All around us, we see the evidence that we are getting closer to the return of Christ. People are growing colder, truth is being twisted, and faith is being tested.
So, how do we live when we know we’re running out of time? We speak boldly, live purely, love deeply, and endure faithfully.
When the world feels uncertain and the future unclear, how do we keep moving forward with purpose? This week, we’re discovering how we can stand firm even when everything around us feels shaky.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
“Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution
we were encouraged about you because of your faith. For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 3:7-8 NIV

HIGHLIGHTS :
How will we live for Jesus until He returns?

How to Live When Time Is Short
• Speak Boldly
• Live Purely
• Love Deeply
• Endure Faithfully

1. Speak boldly: Declare Christ even when it costs you.
•Boldness doesn’t mean you’re never afraid.
•It means your conviction is bigger than your fear.

2. Live purely: Live to honor God, not to please people.
•The biggest danger to your faith is living for the approval of people.

3. Love deeply: We don’t just share the gospel; we share our lives.

4. Endure faithfully: Stand firm when the pressure is greatest.
• Where is God calling me to share my faith, even if it costs me?
• When do I care more about pleasing people than pleasing God?
• Who have I kept at a distance that God is calling me to love?
• What trial is God using to strengthen my faith?

Living In The Last Days Week 1

Preparing For The Return Of Christ

SUMMARY :
The last days began when Jesus ascended to heaven. Through the Book of 1 Thessalonians, we read the Apostle Paul’s encouragement to the early church as they navigated challenges like wars, natural disasters, and division—similar to the challenges we still face today.
Feeling overwhelmed by life right now?
You’re not alone. When everything feels uncertain, we often worry about what’s next.
But what if it’s possible to regain perspective and press forward with purpose? In our new series, we’ll discover how to see beyond our circumstances to the truths that sustain us.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
“…. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom [God] raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 NIV

HIGHLIGHTS :
3 Ways Believers Live Ready in the Last Days
We turn.
We serve.
We wait.
1. We turn from idols that deceive to the God who saves.
•An idol is anything you put in God’s place.
2. We serve the living God, not dead idols.
•douleuō : to serve with complete loyalty, putting the will of another above your own
3. We wait actively, preparing for the return of Christ.
•anaménein
-ana: again, intensely
-menein: to remain, stay, abide
: to wait actively, faithfully, and with great expectation

3 Questions I’m Asking in the Last Days
1. Have I forgiven those who hurt me?
2. Have I shared my faith with those who need Jesus?
3. Am I trusting in God’s grace alone to save me?

Elisha – Week 4

God Can Restore What Seems Lost

SUMMARY :
We’ve all suffered loss in our lives: relationships, respect, joy, passion. Sometimes we don’t mean to lose things; it just happens. Still, it can be hard to know how to find the things we’ve lost.
In the story of Elisha and the ax, we learn that God cares about what we care about—even the small stuff. Because He loves us, He will work with us to restore our lost things.

Maybe you used to feel God’s presence everywhere. Prayer felt natural. His Word came alive. Now it feels like you’re just going through the motions. Spiritual drift happens, but it doesn’t mean your passion is gone forever or that God has given up on you. This week, we’re talking about how to get that fire back.

KEY SCRIPTURE :
“.… When they arrived at the Jordan, [the prophets] began cutting down trees. But as one of them was cutting a tree, his ax head fell into the river. “Oh, sir!” he cried. “It was a borrowed ax!” “Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface. “Grab it,” Elisha said. And the man reached out and grabbed it. 2 Kings 6:4-7 NLT

HIGHLIGHTS :
•Sometimes the smallest miracle carries the biggest message.
•If it matters to you, it matters to God.
•What have you lost that God wants to restore?
•Be honest about where you lost it.
•Take back what you lost.
